Athena Colour Shift Watercolour Paint Half Pan

Really stunning colour

It’s a little dark so it does not show up as well on black watercolor paper. But it’s still beautiful!

I must admit when I bought it I thought it was going to be "bluer", I was going to use it for blue details in painting. It's still richly blue, but more on the darker side, I use it in my normal painting to enrich shadows, something that I struggled to do before. The shimmer and blue tones in the paint somehow adds to the richness of the deeper shadows in a way that my normal watercolours doesn't. I cannot recommend this paint enough.

The colour shift is so pretty. Really good quality paint and at a good price too. Can't wait to add the paint into my pieces.

These paints are really smooth and vivid. This is probably my favourite of the colourshifts, with gorgeous purple, indigo and blues.
