This is a handmade watercolour half pan in the colour Peacock Ore. Created from a combination of the highest quality pigments and our very own handmade binder. This highly pigmented paint is ultra-vibrant, producing rich and beautiful results. The pigment used in this paint is a multi chrome pigment so the colour will shift and look different depending on the light source around. This paint has been named after the Peacock Ore gemstone because of its similarities in colour. It changes colour from blue to purple and pink from different angles and paints a bright pink on black paper.

This colour is part of the Gemstone Collection and is a translucent paint excellent for layering over traditional watercolours to add shimmer and colour changing highlights. The Gemstone collection is our most shiny and sparkling range and the most translucent of the whole shimmer drops range.

The artwork shown here is painted by Janet Lombardi Blixt using traditional watercolours and layered with The Gemstone Collection on top.

Peacock Ore

This is one of my new favorite colors. It looks beautiful on white with the blue and pink colorshift but also looks completely different on black. I use it both ways and absolutely love it. It's the perfect pink sparkle. The only thing I don't like is that the pink sparkles can rub off once the painting is dry. So I have to be careful not to touch the parts with peacock ore, but other then that it's one of my favorites. I use it alot!
