Shimmer Drops watercolour paint sets are palettes of artist quality watercolour paint housed in tin containers. Most sets come in convenient travel size sets of 6 or 12 but they also come in sets of up to 28 and you can custom order sets of the whole range on request. Every watercolour set has been selected and the colours combined to represent a theme or mood.

Each watercolour set has a combination of colours using similar pigments. Some of, our watercolor palettes have shimmer pigments using mica or chrome pigments. These will have flat colours that shimmer as the light hits them and others will have colour-shift pigments that are using chrome pigments. The colour shift sets will change colours when the light hits them from different angles. Some water color palettes will have paint that looks different on white and black paper.

Our watercolour paints are fast activating, so you can get straight into painting within a few seconds of wetting the pan. You will love the buttery consistency of our paint, which makes them a pleasure to work with. The high content of professional quality pigment powders that we mix into each pan means our colours are very saturated, producing satisfyingly vibrant results.

We make our paints by hand, mulling each batch to our exacting standards. Each half pan is filled and then over-filled to ensure the maximum amount of product. We then wrap and label each pan individually and then arrange them into the tins. After that, we gift wrap the tins in our gorgeous, hand painted paper to ensure each watercolour set is not just beautiful for you when it arrives but also gorgeous enough to give as gifts to artistic loved ones. Our artisanal paints are handmade in small batches so they often sell out very quickly, especially our limited edition watercolour sets. Each batch takes a month to produce, with necessary drying times between paint fills, meaning it could be a while before a colour or set is back in stock.
